Steve studied Human Design with Ra Uru Hu for seven years before embarking on his own path. He went on to found BaanTu, write several influential books, and spend another seven years teaching Human Design and BaanTu following Ra’s death. In 2012, he published the first official Human Design book, supported by Jovian Archive and Ra's family.
