Steve Rhodes is the founder of BaanTu. He studied with Ra Uru Hu for seven years and later spent another seven years developing a new system, which eventually became BaanTu. He is a British musician, computer programmer, and book author, and is currently the CEO and co-founder of elasticStage. Born in Austria, he studied mechanical engineering before moving to London. While at university in Vienna, he won a nationwide search for the best music newcomer and subsequently signed with CBS Records. Various TV, radio, and other media appearances followed. In 2008, Steve built and owned one of London’s leading recording studios, Alpha Centauri, which was used by U2, Kanye West, M.I.A., La Roux, Richard Ashcroft, and Depeche Mode.
